Many lubricants can be used with for anal sex. Many people prefer either a silicone for a super slick, minimal friction (but more difficult clean up) or a thicker, waterbased lubricant that will stay where they put it. Some people like oil-based cremes however these are not condom compatible so care should be taken when using these. Always make sure you use plenty of lubricant when having anal sex to reduce discomfort and any tearing that might otherwise occur.
There are now many products available to help make anal sex easier, particularly for people just starting out, but they can help even seasoned pros! If you use products with lidocaine, we recommend you use them sparingly so you ease any discomfort somewhat but you can still feel if there is anything wrong.
